Role Overview:
Responsible for defining, implementing, and ensuring compliance with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and ASPICE. The role involves developing safety processes, supporting development teams, and ensuring compliance with safety-critical product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Safety Compliance & Implementation
- Define and implement functional safety processes as per ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
- Guide teams in hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety case development.
- Work with safety assessments and audits to ensure compliance.
Process Development & Automation
- Develop safety workflows for different product lifecycle phases.
- Implement best practices for safety management and traceability.
- Support the automation of safety compliance checks using scripting tools.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with design, verification, and software teams to integrate safety practices.
- Generate key safety documents, including Safety Plans, Safety Concepts, and Safety Manuals.
- Provide technical guidance on safety FMEA, FMEDA, and DFA methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
✔ Hands-on experience with functional safety standards – ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or ASPICE.
✔ Process definition and compliance expertise – Experience in safety-related process frameworks.
✔ Knowledge of FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, and safety analysis methods.
✔ Strong documentation and communication skills – Ability to create clear safety documentation.
✔ Familiarity with semiconductor or automotive development lifecycles.
✔ Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or similar) for automation is a plus.
