Overview:
Responsible for designing, developing, and validating hardware platforms that comply with industry safety standards such as ISO 26262.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Platform Design Development: & Safety Mechanisms:
- Design and develop safety-critical hardware platforms for automotive and industrial applications.
- Implement and validate safety mechanisms such as ECC, watchdog timers, and redundancy techniques.
Failure Analysis & Component Selection :
- Perform FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis) and other safety assessments to ensure platform reliability.
- Select and validate components that meet ASIL compliance levels for safety-critical applications.
Testing & Validation :
- Work with cross-functional Select and validate components that meet ASIL compliance levels for safety-critical applications teams to define and execute hardware validation, fault injection testing, and safety verification.
Collaboration & Documentation :
- Work closely with system architects, embedded engineers, and verification teams to ensure platform safety and performance requirements are met.
- Generate technical documentation, safety work products, and support safety certification processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong proficiency in schematic design, PCB layout, and circuit simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience with safety-critical hardware development and failure analysis.
- Familiarity with FMEDA, FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), and safety architecture concepts.
- Experience with power management, thermal analysis, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Understanding of ISO 26262, IEC 61508, or DO-254 safety standards.
- Expertise in hardware debugging, bring-up, and validation techniques.
